Our pets depend on us for food, warmth, shelter and love. We depend on our pets for love and companionship. Buying our pet’s food at the store does not guarantee that it will be fresh and safe.

Severe warnings have been issued to keep babies away from and adults to wash their hands immediately after handling their pet’s products because of reports of people getting sick. If you love your dog and/or cat, you do not want to feed them something that is so unsafe. It is not alright for pet food companies to get away with these autocracies.

Lower quality products could be harming your loved pets. If you have any concerns, you are on the right track by researching what you are feeding your pets. Many times products are of lower quality, without your knowledge. You are led to believe your pet’s products are safe and healthy until it’s too late. If you realize that what you have been feeding your pet family has been recalled, your heart sinks. If you hear that those products were recalled months ago, you get a sick feeling in your gut. You do not have to live with that fear. There are solutions to your problem.

Lower quality pet products are made from left over corn, wheat and soy that are way below human consumption standards. These products are picked long after the good, high quality products for humans are picked. They sit on the ground for weeks getting moldy before being shipped to silos. Your future pet products sit in silos for months rampant with mold, dead and diseased rodents and their feces.

The mold gets scraped off the top of the wasted products and they are made into “pet food”.

After your pet food is eventually made, it sits in unprotected warehouses or tractor trailers with no temperature control for up to two years before getting shipped to your supermarket. Many times these storage containers are not locked so any person has access to the bags upon bags of food. This lack of security should not be tolerated.

These finished pet products sit on the store shelves for who knows how long, possibly in a window in the hot sun, or under a heating vent until you finally purchase them. By the time you get your pet food home, unbeknownst to you, it could be years old and made from unhealthy ingredients from the start. You want better for your pets, prompting your research.

Pet food companies sell you old, harmful pet products so they can save money. The pet food industry is a multi-billion dollar business. They can afford to give you products that are healthy for your pets and still make a decent profit. It should be a win for you and a win for the pet food companies; a win-win.

When you open your pet’s products you want to smell freshness. You want to be able to touch those products and not have to wash your hands quickly. You want peace of mind knowing the products you give to your cat or dog won’t make you, your children or your pets sick.

You have the power to keep your pets well. There are pet food and product companies who practice with high safety and ethical measures. Fortunately, more and more companies are practicing healthy standards for your pet’s foods and products. The public is finally getting the word out to pet food companies… they want healthy, safe products for their dogs and cats.
